European Film Awards 2016

12 Filmfest Premieres in Selection

 

The European Film Academy and EFA Productions announced the titles of the 50 films on the 2016 EFA Feature Film Selection, that are recommended for a nomination for the European Film Awards 2016.

Nine of the selected feature films had their premiere at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2016

Last week the EFA Documentary Selection was announced. Among the 15 European documentaries recommended for a nomination are three films of the 2016 Filmfest program:

A GERMAN LIFE (EIN DEUTSCHES LEBEN) by Christian Krönes, Olaf S. Müller, Roland Schrotthofer & Florian Weigensamer

THE LAND OF THE ENLIGHTENED by Pieter-Jan De Pue
Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany

 

The over 3,000 members of the European Film Academy will vote for the nominations in the categories European Film, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenwriter. The nominations will be announced November 5. A 7-member jury will decide on the awards recipients in the categories European Cinematographer, Editor, Production Designer, Costume Designer, Hair & Make-up Artist, Composer and Sound Designer.

The 29th European Film Awards will take place December 10 in Wroclaw, European Capital of Culture 2016.
