While FILMFEST MÜNCHEN is not a competition festival, several
important prizes are awarded in conjunction with it:
CineMerit Award
 | Since 1997, FILMFEST MÜNCHEN has honored outstanding personalities in the international film community for extraordinary contributions to motion pictures as an art form. |

Arri-Preis
| € 30.000 |
|
 | The Arri Award (€ 30,000) goes to the best foreign film. Presented by ARRI and Carl Zeiss AG since 2008. An independent jury selects the winner.
ARRI is presenting this award for the fourth consecutive year at Filmfest München. |

CineVision Award
| € 12.000 |
|
 | The CineVision Award ( € 12,000 ) goes to an outstanding debut (or second) non-German film. Intended to encourage new talent and innovation. Presented since 2007 by DZ BANK. |
|
Young German Cinema Award
| € 60.000 |
|
 | Honors the best new director, producer, screenwriter, actor and actress in the New German Cinema section. Awarded by HypoVereinsbank, Bavaria Film and Bavarian Broadcasting. |

Bernd Burgemeister TV Movie Award
| € 25.000 |
|
 | Awarded by German film & TV producers' royalty co. VFF to the producer of the best German TV Movie in the festival program. € 25,000 purse. |

TELE 5 Award
 | At www.tele5.de movie fans can vote for their favorite nominated film from the New German Cinema section to receive the TELE 5 Award, which is being presented at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN for the very first time. |

Bayern 3 Audience Prize presented by Abendzeitung
 | Awarded by the audience at the FILMFEST MÜNCHEN. All films screening in the festival are eligible. Presented by Bayern 3 radio and Abendzeitung newspaper since 2004. |

Kinderfilmfest Audience Award
 |
The young audiences at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN vote for their favorite film. |
|
One Future Prize
 | Presented since 1986 to the film that, ethically as well as aesthetically, shows that our world has one common future. |

The Bernhard Wicki Film Prize - The Bridge
| € 10.000 |
|
 | Awarded by the Bernhard Wicki Memorial Fund since 2002 to film artists whose work builds bridges and inspires tolerance and humanitarianism. € 10,000 prize money. |
|
Children Media Prize "White Elephant"
| 12.000 € |
|
 | Awarded by Munich Media Club to outstanding children's films which foster positive development. Since 2005 at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN. |
|
Shocking Shorts Award
 | Short film award presented annually by NBC Universal pay channel 13TH STREET. The winner receives a backstage pass to Universal Studios in Hollywood. |

“Look & Listen”-Telepool-BR-Music-Award
 | The 2011 LOOK & LISTEN Telepool-BR Movie Award goes to French film music composer, jazz musician and three-time Academy Award winner Michel Legrand. He will be in Munich to accept the award in person. |

Treatment Competition for Documentaries
 | The Treatment Competition for Documentaries is held by Bavarian Broadcasting and Telepool and serves to foster young documentary filmmakers and support documentary filmmaking in Germany and German-speaking countries in Europe. Three projects are awarded prizes worth €5000, €3000 and €2000. |

Choreographic Captures Award
 | For the fourth consecutive year, JOINT ADVENTURES and festival director Andreas Ströhl presented the award for the best 60 second choreographic clip.

FFF Talent Award for Film Journalism
| 1.500 € |
|
 | The FFF Talent Award for Film Journalism will be presented to a student from the German School of Journalism in Munich. This award has been presented at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN since 2004. |

El festival de cine de Munich es el más grande festival no competitivo en Alemania. Cada verano en medio de una atmósfera relajada tiene lugar en la Rambla del Isar un intensivo diálogo entre cineastas y directores de cine. Aunque se recrea el cine en sus variantes artísticas y culturales, este festival constituye también una plataforma de la industria del cine alemán y su mercado, el cual goza de gran prestigio a nivel internacional.
Le FILMFEST MÜNCHEN est le plus grand festival public non-compétitif d’Allemagne.
Dans une atmosphère de détente, un dialoge intensif entre réalisateurs et cinéastes se tient tous les étés sur les rives de l’Isar. Bien que le film y soit célébré pour son essence artistique et son expression culturelle, le Filmfest München est un marché très populaire, aussi bien sur le plan de l’industrie du film allemand que celui de l’industrie cinématographique internationale
