In 1988, a businessman named Oh Dae-su, who lives with his wife and toddler daughter, is kidnapped and wakes up to find himself in a private makeshift prison. Dae-su makes numerous attempts to escape and commit suicide, but they all end in failure. When he discovers that his wife has been brutally murdered, he swears to take revenge. Suddenly, after 15 years, Dae-su is released with a wallet filled with money and a mobile phone. A stranger calls him and asks him to figure out why he was imprisoned. “Park Chan-Wook...
