Jag Mandir: The Eccentric Private Theatre of the Maharaja of Udaipur
Filmfest 2007

The Eccentric Private Theatre of the Maharaja of Udaipur. It’s filmed at the Maharana’s palace situated on a lake - a building that’s slowly sinking. The occasion? A grand spectacle of folk dancing and performance: 500 performers speaking 23 languages dressed in luxuriant costumes. It’s a celebration of folk traditions that, like the palace, may soon disappear.
