EMERALD GREEN
Gwen and Gideon both possess the time travel gene and have had to travel back in history several times in RUBY RED and SAPPHIRE BLUE, to accomplish missions for their families’ secret society, the lodge run by Count St. Germain. When Gwen meets Lucy and Paul, two time travelers on the run from the lodge, she starts to doubt the creepy Count’s motives. When Gideon confesses his declaration of love for her was just a ruse to help the Count, Gwen is devastated. She doesn’t have time to nurse her broken heart, however, since the world is once again turned upside down by inexplicable events. Gwen and Gideon find themselves on the trail of a huge conspiracy that leads them on a wild goose chase through time and will forever alter their destiny. Nothing less than immortality is at stake!

Meet the director


Felix Fuchssteiner, Katharina Schöde
Felix Fuchssteiner, born 1975, grew up in Germany and the United States. After working as a reporter for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, he enrolled in the directing department of Munich film school HFF, graduating with short film DIE KURVE 2003. He founded production co. mem-film in 1997. His feature film LOSING BALANCE premiered at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2009, winning the German Cinema New Talent Prize for Best Film and Best Actress (Elisa Schlott). His YA romantasy adaptation RUBY RED was released 2013, based on the bestselling novels by Kerstin Gier, followed by SAPPHIRE BLUE in 2014. The third and final installment EMERALD GREEN will premiere at the festival as well.
Katharina Schöde, born 1974, worked as Continuity/Script Assistant on TV and film productions before enrolling at Munich film school HFF. Her screenplay adaptation of play DIE KURVE (2002) for Felix Fuchssteiner’s graduating film was a big success, her own graduating film GEFÜHLTE TEMPERATUR (2005) was screened at numerous festivals. She joined mem-film GmbH 2008 and co-wrote LOSING BALANCE (2009) with Fuchssteiner. Katharina Schöde wrote the screenplay to RUBY RED and co-directed SAPPHIRE BLUE and EMERALD GREEN.
