RIVALS FOREVER – THE SNEAKER BATTLE

Germany in the 1920s. In a small village, two brothers launch the sports shoe to international fame. But Adi and Rudi Dassler, one an introverted inventor, craftsman and athlete, the other a visionary sales wonder and impulsive womanizer, begin developing increasingly different visions. With the rise of the Nazi regime, their long-standing differences grow to a profound mistrust, which ultimately leads to the creation of two future multinational corporations: ADIDAS and PUMA. A legendary rivalry ensues that, in its tenacity, is carried on to the next generation and shapes Adi and Rudi’s life until the end.
FILMFEST MÜNCHEN presents both episodes of this epic family drama in a single three hour screening.

The gala premiere on June 24, 2016 at the Gasteig Festival Centre will be presented by Opel.
