BENEDE
Police officer Carlos Benede has met many children in the Victim Protection Department, all victims of a crime. But the case of 11-year-old Alexander, who witnessed his father murdering his mother, changes Benede's life. The serious and precocious boy puts his trust in the fun-loving Benede, who himself grew up in a foster home. Benede's job is to prepare Alexander to give evidence at his father's trial. After his father is sentenced to life, Benede's responsibility for the boy is basically over. But Alexander wants a father who is just like the policeman who has taken care of him...

Johannes Fabrick
Johannes Fabrick was born in Vienna, Austria 1958, and studied screenwriting and directing at the Film Academy Vienna. He has directed a large number of TV and theatrical films. SCHLEUDERTRAUMA (WHIPLASH), which was screened at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2001, won a Romy for Best Director 2004, DER LETZTE SCHÖNE TAG (THE LAST FINE DAY) received a Grimme Prize 2013. He also premiered DIE BRÄUTE (BRIDES, 1997), DIE TOCHTER DES MÖRDERS (THE MURDERER'S DAUGHTER, 2010), ICH HABE ES DIR NIE ERZÄHLT (I NEVER TOLD YOU, 2011) and PASS GUT AUF IHN AUF (TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM, 2013) at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN.
