BEST OF FILMSCHOOLFEST

Every fall, promising young filmmakers from around the world congregate in Munich for the annual FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH. FILMFEST MÜNCHEN presents last year's best films, with many of the filmmakers in attendance to answer questions.

In MAYDAY RELAY, Florian Tscharf recounts a high-seas refugee rescue mission. [OUT OF FRA]ME by Sophie Linnenbaum shows characters who keep falling out of the picture. Albert Meisl's THE BURDEN OF MEMORY leads us on the search for a rare piece of sheet music. In HOMEWORK by Annika Pinske, dad has a weird hobby after helping with the school work. Belorussian Alexander Zubovlenko observes his sister Masha in CINDERELLA looking for love, while Anna Cazenave-Cambet's teens are already a step further in love in GABBER LOVER. And the animated PUSSY by Renata Gasiorowska just wants to play.
