Logline

NANNY MCPHEE

"When you need me but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me but no longer need me, then I have to go," says Nanny McPhee, who has suddenly shown up at the door of the Brown family. The little rascals have managed to frighten off 17 governesses, but this witch-like nanny with scraggly hair, warts, and crooked teeth can't be put off so easily. That's because she has magical powers. The seven Brown children soon notice that there's more to their lessons than they might have thought. Emma Thompson not only plays the starring role; she wrote the screenplay adaptation.
