UNIFIED FILMMAKERS: Filmmaking During and After COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic put the global film industry on hold.

But how exactly has it affected filmmakers everywhere? And how can they go on?

The UNIFIED FILMMAKERS FESTIVAL welcomes six filmmakers from all corners of the world to discuss and exchange their personal experiences of filmmaking during and prospects for the time after the pandemic.

How has COVID-19 affected their work and how might it have inspired them to go on despite or maybe even because of the state of the world? Besides the obvious hurdles that the pandemic caused for making a film, what not so obvious challenges did they face? Can and should the film industry return to where it was before the pandemic?

These and more topics host Aline von Drateln will discuss with filmmakers Ken Kwek, Sabrina Fidalgo, Taye Balogun, Shreya Patel, Eli Jean Tahchi, and Sevgi Hirschhäuser. Some of the participants will attend the panel in person while others will attend via Zoom.
