A sassy relationship comedy by popular young French author Alice Zeniter.
In the midst of a heatwave in Paris, Tristan is managing the election campaign of a Green politician. One morning he receives an anonymous letter containing a positive pregnancy test. Is the whole thing a sick joke? Is someone taking revenge on him? Tristan resolves to track down the sender. His search is all the more urgent because his mother died of an incurable hereditary ailment. As a possible carrier of the disease, he risks passing it on to any children of his.

Alice Zeniter, Benoit Seguin (dit Volnais)
Alice Zeniter, born in 1986, attended the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris. She has written eight novels, including "L'Art de perdre" (2017), which was a finalist for the Prix Goncourt and for which she received the Le Monde literary prize and the Prix Goncourt des Lycéens. She has also written four plays, some of which she staged herself. Zeniter and Benoît Volnais wrote the screenplay to BEFORE WE COLLAPSE. Both also directed the film, which had its world premiere in competition at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2023.
Benoît Volnais, born in 1980, studied philosophy before becoming an assistant director and production assistant on music videos and television shows as well as a wine merchant. He and Alice Zeniter wrote the screenplay to BEFORE WE COLLAPSE, which they both directed.
