Tragicomic series about a schoolboy prank that gets completely out of control.
Jannik and Tai are 17. At school they are known as Fatty and Fiji. Two outsiders. When they grab their drunken school principal on the street one night and lock him into his apartment, their prank turns into a full-blown kidnapping. Tai enjoys playing God and forces the teacher to reveal everything about himself. But when the skeletons in his closet are discovered, the silliness becomes dead serious.
The screening will include the first two episodes of the series.
Meet the director
Axel Ranisch
Director, actor, and screenwriter Axel Ranisch was born in Berlin-Lichtenberg in 1983. In 2002 he shot his first short film, which made him incurably passionate about film. In seven years following that, he made some 80 short films on his own and was involved in others as an actor, writer, score composer, or editor. From 2004 to 2011 he studied directing at the HFF “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam under Rosa von Praunheim, Andreas Kleinert, and Helke Misselwitz. Ranisch remains true to his style and makes heartfelt films that feature music and humor, preferably without a script and based on improvisation. His films, including DICKE MÄDCHEN, ICH FÜHL MICH DISCO, ALKI ALKI, and @KALINKA08 – MELDE DICH BITTE have toured at countless festivals, small and large, since 2002 and have received a number of awards. In 2011 Axel founded a production company called Sehr gute Filme with fellow students Dennis Pauls and Anne Banker as well as actor Heiko Pinkowski. In addition to making films for the big screen, Axel also works in television and directs operas. His debut novel, “Nackt über Berlin”, has been published by Ullstein Verlag.
