Awards for SALESMAN, DIVINES, ALL THREE OF US

On Saturday, July 2, the last awards were presented at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN.  Markus Aicher (BR) and Susanne Hermanski (Süddeutsche Zeitung) presented the BAYERN 2 & SZ Audience Award to ALL THREE OF US by director Kheiron from France. The award was accepted by distrib Christoph Ott (NFP), who launched the film in German cinemas this Thursday, June 30.

The Audience Award Winner ALL THREE OF US will be repeated today at 11 pm in the Filmmuseum.

The Jury Members Boyd van Hoeij, Luca Pellegrini and Kaan Karsan awarded the FIPRESCI Prize to DINKY SINKY by director Mareille Klein, lauding its "deceptive light-handedness and warm sense of humor". DINKY SINKY had already won the German Cinema New Talent Award for Best Screenplay on Friday.

The Cinevision Award for the best  international newcomer was presented by Dr. Gertie Müller-Ernstberger (GWFF) to DIVINES directed by Houda Benyamina. A special mention went to LOST AND BEAUTIFUL by Pietro Marcello. The jury consisted of actress Sibylle Canonica, director Amir Hamz and future Gasteig manager Max Wagner.

The CineVision winner DIVINES was repeated at 7:30 pm in the Rio 2 cinema.

The ARRI/Osram Award for best international film went to THE SALESMAN by Asghar Farhadi. It was presented by Prof. Franz Kraus (ARRI) and Hans-Joachim Schwabe (OSRAM). A special mention went to RABIN THE LAST DAY by Amos Gitai. The jury consisted of actress Pegah Ferydoni, producer Stéphane Tchalgadjieff and former Munich Mayor Christian Ude. 

The ARRI/Osram winner THE SALESMAN will be repeated at 10:30 pm in the Rio 2 cinema.

After the award ceremony, CAPTAIN FANTASTIC (Universum Film) by director Matt Ross starring Viggo Mortensen was shown as Closing Film, which will release in Germany on Aug. 18.
