Around the world in 12 films

This year’s program at KINDERFILMFEST MÜNCHEN invites you to travel around the world! Starting from a village in rural Bavaria in the opening film THE ROBBER HOTZENPLOTZ, the films take their audiences to the United States, into fascinating realms of fantasy, to Hungary, to a small island in the middle of Lake Titicaca, and back to Europe.

KINDERFILMFEST MÜNCHEN, our section for young audiences, invites you to an open-air festival for the whole family. The live-action adaptation of the classic children’s book LAURA’S STAR will open this section of the film festival as its world premiere. With Tobias Krell as its new director, a series for young adults in the line-up, and an online workshop for school classes, the Kinderfilmfest is also breaking new ground.
