Bavaria Film stands for high-quality fiction and nonfiction productions for the cinematic, television, and streaming markets. Many of our films celebrated their world premiere at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN and became audience favorites. In 2019, Mavie Hörbiger shone in Max Färberböck’s family drama ICH BRAUCHE EUCH, and a year earlier Dietmar Bär starred in the war drama FÜR MEINE TOCHTER. Munich festival audiences were also the first to see BRIEF AN MEIN LEBEN, starring Marie Bäumer. The list of productions is a long one that will be continued at the Filmfest.

Together with BR and DZ BANK AG, Bavaria Film GmbH supports the German Cinema New Talent Award.

Promoting creative newcomers is paramount to us. That’s why we’ve supported the German Cinema New Talent Award for almost 20 years. It’s undoubtedly one of the most important awards for new talent in Germany.
