A breathtaking drama from several perspectives in the shadow of #metoo. The main cast includes the director’s wife, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and their son Benjamin.
Alexandre, a student at the elite Stanford University in California, visits his parents in Paris. His father is a prominent TV journalist, his mother an intellectual known for her feminist activism. She is seeing a man who has a 16-year-old daughter. Alexandre takes the young woman to a party. The next morning, she accuses him of rape. What happened that night? A spectacular trial is supposed to shed light on this. At the same time, Alexandre’s parents are caught in the crossfire of the press and social media.
