In her first film for children, Slovakian director Mira Fornay tells of a fairy-tale-like forest in which individuals pursue their very own aspirations.
Romy’s budgie, Mimi, has escaped. The search for him leads her to a forest on the outskirts of town. Although her mother has already bought a new budgie, Romy is determined to find Mimi. Yet the bird is simply nowhere to be seen. The foray into nature soon turns into an exciting adventure. Here and there, Romy meets fascinating people who have sought out the idyllic surroundings of the forest for very different reasons.
This film is screened in original version with German voice-over.
Recommended for ages 5 and up.
