Gripping drama about abuse at a soccer club.
It’s been years since Frank last returned to the village where he grew up, but he sets off with his small family to attend his mother’s funeral. His wife and his son Tim immediately feel at home in the cottage they’ve inherited from Tim’s grandmother, and they want to spend the summer in the countryside. Tim makes friends at the local soccer club. But Frank is haunted by demons from his childhood. A person everybody knows has revived terrible memories and is now entering the life of his son.

Meet the director

Felicitas Korn
Felicitas Korn majored in documentary film and television journalism at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) and spent a semester at the Northern School of Film and Television in Leeds, England, in 1997. While a student, she was a presenter at the Hofer Filmtage, an assistant director, and a production manager. After graduation she edited texts for various companies and institutions, including Bavaria Film, Kinowelt, and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, and she is now a dramaturgical consultant for BR-Arte. She teaches dramaturgy and acting at the Soya Acting School Hamburg, the University of Tübingen, and the Filmschauspielschule Berlin. She also develops content and screenplays for such companies as Tellux GmbH, deutschfilm GmbH, novafilm GmbH, and UFA Entertainment GmbH.
Korn is the author and director of the music video SUPERGIRL by the band Reamonn, which topped the charts in 2000, as well as the multiple award-winning short film NASS and the award-winning erotic drama BREAKING THE SURFACE, which received international recognition due to its “radical and consequential nature”. Her first novel, “Drei Leben lang”, was published by Kampa Verlag in 2020.
