Director Trevor Anderson’s sensitive and humorous coming-of-age film offers a new perspective on suburban life in 1980s North America.
A Canadian backwater in 1987. As the new kid at the local high school, Robin, the non-binary protagonist of this comedy-drama, must master the balancing act of conforming while being oneself. Amid the turbulent ups and downs of adolescent emotions, an unexpected alliance soon forms between Robin and Carter, a rowdy schoolmate, which causes Robin to face unexpected problems and contradictions.
