A snow leopard enters a sheepfold and kills nine rams, throwing this Tibetan community into turmoil and attracting the attention of a television crew. The story follows a local TV reporter and a Buddhist monk, who senses a special connection to the leopard.

Meet the director
Pema Tseden
Tibetan writer-director Pema Tseden was a pioneer of the Tibetan New Wave. Most of his films were shot by Tibetan teams in the Tibetan language. His body of work includes THE SILENT HOLY STONES (2002), THE SEARCH (2007), and OLD DOG (2011). His films have been screened in Venice, Locarno, and Toronto and have received more than forty international awards. Pema Tseden passed away in 2023.
