Logline
A fragmentary long-term portrait of a China in transition.
In his latest work, master director Jia Zhang-Ke looks back on the more than two decades of his artistry. Using scenes from earlier films as well as recent footage, he creates a collage about a woman who spends twenty years searching for the man she loved, who disappeared without a trace. In the process, she becomes a mirror of a changing society, from 2001 to the present day.
