Dandelion Mason leads a hollow, teenage existence in a dysfunctional family. Then he meets Danny, the new girl in town and the two are forge a special bond. It's one of those once-in-a-lifetime loves that can change one forever. But forces from all sides threaten this tender bond when a series of accidents and complications lead to tragedy. More than a coming-of-age movie, "Dandelion“ exudes an old-fashioned poetic realism. The grand landscapes of the Midwest are characters in themselves. "Forming an almost hypnotic image of the flow of life in a small rural town of clapboard houses and spacious skies, Mark Milgard's debut feature, 'Dandelion', is a dramatic and unpretentious exploration of existential awakening." 2004 Sundance Film Festival
