On a midsummer’s day, Paul, 16, suddenly appears at his relatives’ house. His uncle and aunt live in the countryside in the east of Germany. The last family reunion was quite a while ago and had a rather unpleasant cause: Paul’s father had committed suicide. Now the boy returns to the place that reminds him of the untroubled days of his childhood. Uncle Stefan and Aunt Anna feel obliged to take him in but soon the relationship between Anna and Paul spins out of control. When Paul finally realizes she is using him he decides to strike out on his own again. But not without taking revenge...
