Con Man Confidential
Although con men occupy a special place in films and novels, there has never been a documentary in which they talk openly about their crimes, their victims and themselves. This is a very private drama about the mechanics of dissimulation. About the desire to be someone else. About how the manipulation of others turns a person into someone entirely new – to the point where he is trapped by the role and his own personality falls apart. Above all, it is about the greed we all experience – not for money, but for recognition and love. Anyone who has ever lied or cheated will recognize themselves in some way or other in CON MAN CONFIDENTIAL.
