Miss Julie
Filmfest 2006

A contemporary take on August Stindberg’s 1888 play about sexual repression and class schisms. It tells the story of an aristocratic young woman who seduces her father’s ambitious valet. After the sexual thrill is gone, the couple find that they have nothing in common, and the woman must struggle with the consequences of her actions. "I’ve never been able to shoot a film in this way before, and interestingly enough, it was this experience of working with two cameras in sequence and the very long takes that directly led to the ideas that were the basis for TIMECODE."
