Night Porter's Point of View
Filmfest 2006

According to a Polish night watchman, rules are more important than people. Marian Osuch thinks that a death penalty is a good way of guiding people’s lives in right direction. With its distorted colours, NIGHT PORTER’S POINT OF VIEW, presents the night watchman’s equally twisted world-view. Kieslowski never gave permission to air the film on Polish television, so that Osuch and his family would not suffer or be humiliated because of his opinions.
