The Session Is Open
Filmfest 2007

THE SESSION IS OPEN explores the nature of the contemporary Italian judicial system, its institutions and players. The film puts the viewer in the position of inhabiting such institutions, figuring out how the players think, how they live and how they interact to shape the process in which they are involved. Without being provocative or judgemental, THE SESSION IS OPEN shows, straightforwardly and honestly, how justice is not just a political experience but also a social, cultural, religious, and personal one. The film uses facts, interviews and footage from a courtroom in Naples – a case involving the Camorra.
