Arranged by a smuggling syndicate, A Hong and his young teen sister sneak across the Myanmar/Thailand border and arrive at a remote town called Dagudi in Northern Thailand. The sister is taken away by the gangs, which was a deal her mother made for money. A Hong goes to Bangkok trying to get cash quick and redeem his sister. San Mei, a young Burmese woman who is assigned the job by the smuggling syndicate to fetch A Hong's sister, had been taking risks by smuggling Burmese teenage girls overseas, hoping to exchange them for her Taiwanese Identification Card promised to her by the gang leader for years. After accomplishing the last assignment, she realizes the dream to gain a sense of security is hopeless.
Unfolded through two parallel narratives, this is a border story woven with Tolstoy, amphetamines and Durian.
