Catapulted into worldwide fame in his early 20s, Charles Lloyd was one of the most influential musicians of the 60s. His music crossed traditional boundaries and explored new territories. By his early 30s he was burned out and vanished from view. For over a decade he lived in Big Sur, California. Since the late 80s he has revived his musical life with a series of celebrated albums and tours. Today he is universally respected as one of the true masters of contemporary jazz. From the heights of jazz-rock royalty to the life of a hermit in Big Sur and back again, CHARLES LLOYD: ARROWS INTO INFINITY follows the rise, retreat and return of the charismatic Lloyd and his spiritual quest through sound.
