A Life For Football
Filmfest 2014

German Age Rating

LANDAUER is the story of former president of football club FC Bayern, Kurt Landauer. Landauer, a Jew, had fled Germany during WWII. He returns to Munich from his Swiss exile in the summer of 1947. He's just passing through. His plan is to emigrate to the United States. Seeing his beloved club in ruins, however, he changes his mind. He remains in Munich, becomes president once again and does everything in his power to rebuild the club. He soon comes to realize, not everybody welcomes or appreciates his dedication. This is not a film about soccer but the story of a man who loses everything and yet still does not give up.
