A deserted train station. Three men with guns are waiting on the platform. A man gets off a train. Suddenly the three armed men are dead on the ground and the man from the train is unharmed. When Inspector Murot recognizes him on the surveillance video, he foresees a disaster, even though the man did not fire a single shot. The man is Richard Harloff, Murot's best friend from the police academy. They both used to love the same woman. Harloff was suspended from the force because he had developed a drug problem. He then immigrated to South America with the woman they loved and became a criminal. More killings follow but Harloff always has an airtight alibi. Inspector Murot tries desperately to stop the chain of murders, not knowing that he is the ultimate target in an insidious plan.
