Fritjof, nicknamed 'Friedhof' at school - the German word for cemetery - has always been an outsider. He works for an architecture firm where he's considered a nerd and Momma's boy. When his boss sends him to a hospice to take measurements for a construction project, he's quaking in his shoes. He's afraid of the place and death. When he runs into his old schoolmate there, a deep friendship develops between the two men. In the company of Hannes and the other hospice residents, Fritjof finds the courage to face life head on for the first time.
