Jakob is a shy, sensitive teenage boy who likes to take weird photos and shoot films with his video camera. When his mother Irina tells him that she and his father Claas are about to get divorced, his world is shattered. In addition, he has problems in school. His love for Hannah, a girl in his class, is what keeps him going. Unfortunately, a compromising video he shot falls into the wrong hands and is posted on the web by his classmates. The subsequent events put his relationship with Hannah to the test as he's scorned by his classmates at school and online. His parents try to help, but do not even begin to realize the gravity of the situation. Can Jakob find a way out and succeed in regaining Hannah's love?
