Filmfest 2011

The French Brigade for the Protection of Minors (BPM) is responsible for investigating child abuse. Their daily routine involves arresting young pickpockets as much as sharing personal stories over lunch; questioning young victims of child abuse and their parents; of dealing with the sexual threat to these children, but also the great solidarity among the force, and even the occasional fit of mad laughter at inappropriate moments. It means realizing how much evil there is in the world, and having to deal with that knowledge. How do these officers cope with their jobs, how do they find a balance between their private lives and the reality their work confronts them with?
