The Ethiopian
Filmfest 2015

German Age Rating

For Frank Michalka life is just one endless humiliation until he gets a second chance in Ethiopia and decides to start all over again. A new life. But he's soon forced to return to Germany and ends up back where he came from: being a bank robber. After the robbery he just sits down in the middle of a crowded square near the bank and waits for the police to arrest him. After being taken into custody, Frank almost cracks up – until Sophie Kleinschmidt, a young attorney takes his case and prompts her boss and Frank's court-appointed lawyer to adapt a truly exceptional defense strategy.
