Sara Stein is a CID (Criminal Investigation Detective) in Berlin and she's Jewish. She's not religious but when she has to investigate the murder of Tamar, a female DJ from Israel, religion suddenly becomes an issue. And this case gets a lot of attention and publicity. Is there a political motive? Khalid, Tamar’s Palestinian boyfriend, and his family become the prime focus of the investigation. Khalid's father eventually confesses to the murder. But Sara's gut feeling tells her something doesn't add up. She keeps investigating, digs deeper and deeper, even putting her private life on hold – just as she has fallen in love with David, an Israeli musician...
