A different kind of coming-of-age story: Bia and her brother João live in Rio de Janeiro‘s well-to-do suburb Barra da Tijuca, when a series of murders of young women spreads panic. In the throes of puberty, Bia is fascinated by the killings, and by her first experiences with sex and death… The debut of Anita Rocha da Silveira evokes David Lynch or Brian de Palma, while striking her own morbid, scintillating tone.
