In 1962, Olli Mäki has the once-in-a-lifetime shot at being the first Finnish World Featherweight Champion ever. All of Helsinki is rooting for him, but he suddenly has other things on his mind: Olli just met the love of his life… Based on a true story, well-known in Finland.

biography

Juho Kuosmanen was born in 1979. He attended Aalto University for Art, Design and Archtecture in Helsinki, graduating 2014. His short films won numerous prizes, including at Cannes Cinéfondation and Locarno. He has also acted and directed for the stage, working with the Avantgarde Ensemble West Coast Kokkola Opera. THE HAPPIEST DAY IN THE LIFE OF OLLI MÄKI is his first feature film.
