The flowers of love blossom even in the shadow of the walls of a juvenile prison: Daphne, behind bars for robbery, falls in love with mugger Josh. But male and female inmates are housed separately. Instead of physically, they can only make contact via looks, thoughts, secret messages. After conducting in-depth research in a real juvenile prison, the filmmakers spun a moving Romeo and Juliet tale of desire – for love and freedom.

Claudio Giovannesi, writer-director and musician, was born in Rome in 1978. He finished studying literature 2002 and then enrolled at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome to study directing. He also studied jazz guitar at Rome’s Saint Louis College of Music. His coming-of-age drama ALÌ HA GLI OCCHI AZZURRI (2012) screened at several festivals.
