Gasteig HP8

Munich's newest cultural area is located in Sendling on a former industrial site of Stadtwerke München at Hans-Preißinger-Strasse 8 (HP8). The Gasteig HP8 comprises several buildings and event halls: The Isarphilharmonie, Munich's most modern concert hall for an audience of around 1,900, hosts concerts ranging from classical to pop, as well as other event formats. Hall E is the new home of the Munich City Library. In addition to the wide range of media on offer - open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. - it offers space for reading and studying with free W-Lan. In addition, the listed hall houses the central information and ticket counter, a café and bar, the cinema hall Projektor, and itself functions as a venue for dance and concert nights. Gasteig HP8 also includes Hall X, which hosts readings, clubbing nights and chamber concerts, among other things, a restaurant with an outdoor terrace and course rooms for the adult education center.
