Gloria Palast

In 1956, the Gloria Palast was opened by one of the most prominent figures in German cinema, producer Ilse Kubaschewski, as Munich’s most modern movie theater. It quickly became a popular venue for glittering film premieres. In 2012, the Kinopolis Group reopened the Gloria Palast as Munich’s first premium cinema. Extra-wide leather chairs with footstools and tables, an exquisite selection of food and beverages, and exclusive in-seat service make every visit to this theater special. Not only blockbusters and carefully selected films are shown, but also live broadcasts of concerts and operas. The Gloria Palast on Karlsplatz in the heart of Munich is not only a piece of cinematic history, but a place for very memorable special occasions.
