In response to years of vacancy, the former Katzenberger concrete plant has been turned into a creative destination as part of the Sugar Mountain arts and culture project. By bringing together art and sports, culture and relaxation, a location has emerged where diverse segments of the population can mingle and people from the neighborhood are invited to participate and interact. In addition to fixed and freely accessible outdoor areas such as the skate park, a basketball court, pump track and beergarden, the facility offers areas for all kinds of open-air events. The hall serves as a venue for theater, music, dance, contemporary art, cultural festivals, film, and much more.
