Logline

PARK HWA-YOUNG

The 18-year-old antiheroine of the title is still in school, but already living on her own. The other teenagers who hang out with her call her "Mama", without implying any genuine affection. It's seldom found in this haunting portrait of a generation whose lives revolve around condescension, insults, instant noodles and sex.

Hwan Lee

Hwan Lee studied acting at Daejin University and has since appeared in independent productions such as CHARACTERS (2011) as well as in blockbusters such as THE AGE OF SHADOWS (2016). He directed the short films BULLSHIT (2011) and HOME (2013), which were shown at numerous festivals. PARK HWA-YOUNG is his first feature-length film.
