Armin is getting too old for his night life habits and the woman he likes. He’s not really happy, but can’t picture living a different life. One morning he wakes up: the world looks the same as always, but mankind has disappeared. – A film about the frightening gift of maximum freedom.
Meet the director

Ulrich Köhler
Ulrich Köhler was born in Marburg in 1969. He spent several years of his childhood in Zaire, where his parents were aid workers. He studied art in Quimper, France, then philosophy in Hamburg, and later visual communication at that city's Hochschule für Bildende Künste. There he made several short films. His feature films BUNGALOW and MONTAG KOMMEN DIE FENSTER were shown at numerous festivals and received several awards. SCHLAFKRANKHEIT was shown in competition at the Berlinale in 2011 and received the Silver Bear for best director. IN MY ROOM had its world premiere in Cannes in the section Un Certain Regard. Ulrich Köhler lives in Berlin with director Maren Ade.
