CHUSKIT
How important is school? High up in the Himalayas, in a Tibetan Buddhist mountain village with few modern amenities, adventurous, lively Chuskit can hardly wait to finally attend school. Her dream becomes a distant one, however, when she has an accident and is no longer able to leave the house alone. Chuskit’s strict grandfather, who is rooted in age-old customs, destroys her every hope of attending school, but she refuses to allow her family’s traditional background to determine her future. With determination and self-confidence, the girl fights to realize her dream and shows that even a child has the power to change the world. A heartwarming story inspired by real events.
