Episode 2: "The Sun" by Edvard Munch. "The Sun" paintings are forces of nature. They are wild, energetic, and overpowering in their brightness. Stand in front of them and you can feel the colorful rays coming towards you, the warmth on your skin. The paintings show the December sun above the entrance to the harbor of a Norwegian town. This VR experience reveals the story behind Munch's iconic series of paintings. He loved the sun as an ancient symbol of life, but was also interested in the power of light. This is a unique visual exploration, channeling Munch's curiosity for science and spirituality.

This VR experience is part of the Competition section of VIRTUAL WORLDS, duration 11 minutes.
