In the not-too-distant future, Earth has become uninhabitable. Members of the ruling elite have fled and colonized the planet Kepler 209, but have found that the atmosphere is making them infertile. A small group is to leave the planet and determine whether life on Earth is possible again. The Ulysses II sets out on its mission, but the capsule loses control when it enters the Earth’s atmosphere. Astronaut Blake is the only one to survive the landing, but she discovers that she’s not alone on Earth. A fight for survival begins. Blake must choose a side and make decisions that will determine the fate of all mankind.

Meet the director
Tim Fehlbaum
Tim Fehlbaum, born in Basel in 1982, is a graduate of the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). During his studies, Fehlbaum directed numerous music videos and did cinematography work on the side. His short thriller FÜR JULIAN, made during this time, received the 13th Street Shocking Short Award in 2004. In 2011, his first feature film, HELL, had its world premiere at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN, where it received the German Cinema New Talent Award. The film was also nominated for the Swiss Film Award in the categories of best feature film and best screenplay as well as for the German Film Award in six categories. For his latest feature film, TIDES, Tim Fehlbaum worked with Roland Emmerich as executive producer, as he did for HELL.
