Expectations of film schools, the industry and filmmakers - a Panel.
FIRST STEPS has been honoring young and fresh talents of the film industry for 22 years. The aim is to facilitate the nominees' first steps into the film industry, but also to provide a platform for active exchange with the industry. A topic that is increasingly accompanying us is the apparent discrepancy between the creatively protected space of a university education and the industry expectations that are concretely oriented towards the market. How do we bring this together? Where are there synergies? Together with young filmmakers, university representatives and experts from the industry, they try to approach this topic.
