Successful serial storytelling on social media.
The usage behavior of a new generation of viewers creates new challenges: How do I find my audience where they consume media? And how do I create content that inspires my audience?
The two projects ICH BIN SOPHIE SCHOLL and WE/R have each, in their own way, found ways to successfully use social media as a distribution channel for serialized storytelling. But with new forms of storytelling come new challenges. After all, non-linear and interactive storytelling, technical expertise and audience-targeted format development are just some of the learning areas for writers, filmmakers and producers to create content that reaches their audiences.
Melina Voss (ICH BIN SOPHIE SCHOLL, producer, Un-Framed), Suli Kurban (ICH BIN SOPHIE SCHOLL, Editor, Vice Media) and Jette Volland (WE/R, producer/writer/director, Junique Productions) will provide insight into the skills and working methods needed to succeed in the social media world of influencers and vertical images.
