AWARD CEREMONY: STARTER AWARDS

Each year, the City of Munich presents three Starter Film Awards of 8,000 euros each to artistically outstanding films, particularly those by young, unestablished Munich filmmakers. In addition, an 8,000-euro Starter Film Award / Production, sponsored by Pharos – The Post Group, is presented for the post-production of a film yet to be made. The three Starter Film Awards for 2023 will go to Nikita Gibalenko for I SEE THEM BLOOM, to Viktor Schimpf for MACHINES OF LOVING GRACE, and to Marie Zrenner for ALEX IN DEN FELDERN. The Starter Film Award / Production for 2023 will go to Daniel Asadi Faezi and Mila Zhluktenko for ARALKUM. The presentation of the Starter Film Awards will take place during FILMFEST MÜNCHEN.
